Crucifixion
CRUCIFIXION The accusations were founded My fate was sealed No fault was found in him No pardon for the innocent The confession was guilt My conscience flogged His crime was Being Lies put scars on his body I ask for my will I wait for it to be over He denies his will He fills his belly with the cup My thoughts expose my shame His thoughts are on those dying at his feet Forgiven for ignorance of action I find myself crucified with Him Crushed, there is no fault for me. Bruised, there is no guilt. Pierced, my will is His. Punishment speaks “be still” to the chaos of my soul. Those glorious Stripes, by his flesh being torn my leprous mind is made clean.
